WARSAW, Poland. Feb 26 — Legia Warsaw FC have ended their 2009/2010 Polish Ekstraklasa spring opener in success, allowing them a step closer to Wisla Krakow in league standings.

Meanwhile, Odra Wodzislaw and Lechia Gdansk held each other to a 0:0 draw on Friday.

These were the first two matches of the spring round.

The Polish vice-champions were able to start the season opener off with a decisive win against Cracovia Krakow, scoring two goals within a minute apart. The match was played at Hutnik Krakow stadium due to reconstruction of Cracovia's stadium.

New Chinese Legia signing Dong Fangzhuo was not suited up for the match despite Legia boss Jan Urban mentioning the striker's availability for the away game in Krakow.
