CHORZOW, Poland. Mar 10 (PS) — Ruch Chorzow's best striker Andrzej Niedzielan is likely to be operated soon. It is believed he will miss out the rest of the season due to his serious injury.

Despite this, Ruch officials still believe that their rated sniper may still be able to play in the spring round, at least in the later rounds.

Niedzielan suffered an injury in Saturday's game with Zaglebie Lubin, where unfortunately collided with Lukasz Hanzel. It seemed that after such a painful injury he may not come back on the pitch this season.

The 31-year-old Blues striker has, however, stated that he could very quickly recover and return to the playing field, no matter the injury.

"I have energetic legs, and I can not stand doing nothing for a long time. I think that I may be able to quickly return to training, if everything goes well, maybe after four weeks I will be able to play," claims Niedzielan.

Known Silesian physician Richard Zakrzewski (currently employed by Odra Wodzislaw) also believes that Niedzielan may be back in early May if possible.

"Of course, this is provided that there will be no complications," Zakrzewski points.
