KRAKOW, Poland. Mar 16 (PS) — Radoslaw Matusiak has finally started scoring for Cracovia Krakow, but is he ready for a return to the national side?

In the last league match against Korona Kielce, Poland coach Franciszek Smuda sat down in the stands of the Krakow stadium to reevaluate the former Polish international.

The Polish coach watched the performances of all the Ekstraklasa players, including Radoslaw Matusiak, who has already 15 caps to his name, seeing if he is ready to make a return for Poland.

However, the 28-year-old player does not believe in a call up to the Poland national team despite the fact that on Saturday he scored a brace.

"My form is not yet stabilized. Moreover, there are better strikers in the Polish league, such as Robert Lewandowski," admits Matusiak.

Matusiak added that he does not believe he is more worthy a spot on Poland than Wisla Krakow's Pawel Brozek, who has yet to score this spring round.

"I will also not say also that I'm better than Pawel Brozek. Of course not, and about the national team... I'm not that good enough for it, there are plenty of other number of players better than from me." commented the Cracovia striker.

Good to see that he has a cool head on his shoulders...basically he says that he needs to become more consistent before talking about international honours again. Well said indeed!
