Wisla finalizing Rios move

KRAKOW, Poland. July 19 (PS) — Wisla Krakow is determined to finalize the transfer of Argentine striker Andres Rios.

The player has underwent medical examinations and has successfully signed with the Ekstraklasa club. All that remains is finalizing Rios' documents to UEFA.

The 21-year-old and is a graduate of the famous River Plate FC. He debuted in the first team of March 2007. In the Argentine league he appeared in 37 matches and scored 4 goals.

In the 2007/08 season, Rios also played in the Copa Sudamericana (5 games, 1 goal) and the Copa Libertadores. The European equivalent of the UEFA Champions League where he played in two matches, scoring a goal.

In 2009 he was also called-up to the Argentina U-20 youth championship in South America (Sudamericana sub-20).

Rios will be the sixth player to reinforce the White Star this year. Previously Wisla have signed a contract with Milan Jovanic, Maciej Zurawski, Erik Cikos, Gordan Bunoza, and recently 1. FC Kaiserslautern's Dragan Paljic.
